Church

This last Sunday we had the honor of returning to what is becoming one of our favorite and most familiar churches in Haiti. The church in City Solei has the most basic of accommodations, but compensates with its ferocity of spirit, its inhibited voices rising in the morning air, its faces of every generation filling the pews. This church is the one we spent our pre-Christmas service with and the one that seems to embrace us no matter when we drop in.

This child spent a long time entertaining Patrick SANS mustache (Bentrott) and WITH mustach (Villier) through the beginning of the service only to fall asleep in Patrick Villier's arms as the service wore on.

Patrick caught me in back in the "women with babies" section. The last 3 pews in the church are filled with women with young women. We all feel free to feed babies, change diapers, comment on how beautiful each others' children are and dance to the music. Its my favorite seat of ALL the spots of the church.

Little girl distracting herself with Patrick's photo taking.

Men's choir.
