After an hour and a half wait due to a highly anticipated and followed soccer match, the night started with a ceremony that included a march, a class song, and presentation of the students. Each graduate was introduced based on their positive attributes and what they hoped to do after high school. The class included several hopeful doctors, a musician, a diplomat, a computer programer to name a few.
Certificates were presented, solos were sung, gifts were given, photos taken. After the main ceremony, the program expanded into a sort of talent show where we were entertained by rapping, salsa and tango dancing, solos sung, and lip sinking to Whitney Houston. The outfits were elaborate, the crowd enthusiastic, and the talent endless.
Here are a few pictures of the night.

Patrick's Godson
Patrick and I had been designated God parents by a couple of the students in the class. Patrick has gotten to know his translator well and is helping him with planning and applications for university.
My Goddaughter
A girl in the class with hopes of going to medical school asked me to be her godmother and to help her look for applications for medical schools in and out of the country.
