Home

Dear Family and Friends,

A short updated noted. Patrick and I were able to join the orphans of Solomon's orphanage in a military evacuation Saturday afternoon. We arrived in Denver yesterday safe and sound into the arms of welcoming friends and family.

More details to come as we allow ourselves to let down and process.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and advocacy for safe transport to the States for our family and countless Haitian orphans.
We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and love from our communities both in Haiti and abroad. The earthquake may have robbed us of some personal possessions, but reminded us how rich we are in the gifts that matter.

With appreciation, gratitude and love,
Kim and Patrick

  2. MRs Bentrott, your blog posts have been inspiring to us. I have encouraged a friend in Athens GA to consider Haiti though I Realize this is going to be very difficult now ..as the priority is adoption of Haiti children by Haitians...always. and papers are probably in many cases in rubble showing family ties etc. God bless you and I can't wait to hear more about Soloman meeting his family in USA>

  3. Welcome to a well-deserved and long overdue rest! We will continue to pray for you, your family, and the friends and co-workers who are still in Haiti as well. This news is so welcome and we are passing the word here in St. Louis. Let your days of healing begin.....

  4. We in Longmeadow, MA are so happy to know that you both are home safe and sound for rest and healing with friends and family. So glad you were able to get Solomon and Valancia out with you! That is exciting that you will be a family of four! Our Haiti Committee has really gone into overdrive here since the earthquake. We have made lots of new contacts in the community which should prove helpful for CONASPEH in the future. Thinking of you everyday, Mary Friedman

We pray that you can all get rested up and spend long-awaited time with your family and friends who have waited so long to see you all here together. Thank you for using this wonderful communication to keep everyone updated on the work you are doing - it has been an inspiration to me and my family (especially during the past couple of weeks)!

  16. Praise the Lord for your safe return to the mile high city of Denver. This is an answer to all of our many prayers, PTL!! Welcome home :-)

"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is pure: he is a help to all those that trust in him. For there is no God save the LORD; and there is no one who is mighty like our God. It is God that girds me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hart's feet and sets me upon high places"
    (Ps. 18:30-33).

What a wonderful and loving God we serve! We're proud of you. You were able to be the hands and feet of our Lord Jesus to those who were lost and hurting. Now it's time for you to all take a well deserved rest. We'll be praying for the refreshment and renewal of mind, body and soul for you. God Bless! Enjoy your family time.

    Blessings,
